The 5 Attributes of an Effective Christian Entrepreneur
Saturday, November 27th, 2010 at 09:25 Edit
I am a Christian by choice. I believe that God gave his only begotten son so that we could have a path to heaven.
I also believe that in all things acknowledge him and he will guide my steps! That being said; I offer what I believe are the five attributes of an Effective Christian Entrepreneur.
1) To be a light; to shine before men and when they are not around. This means that whenever and wherever you find yourself, you are to be a blessing to everyone you come into contact with. To offer encouragement, a shoulder to lean on and help when needed. This requires the gift of discernment because people will use you if you allow it.
2) To lead by serving; many times people confuse this with material things, although many times material things are necessary; true service enables another to elevate himself through wisdom that is shared. Many times it is not the dollar but the instruction that is most beneficial.
3) To make the most of opportunity; I believe that God speaks to us through dreams and then sends us the opportunity to make it reality, at some point God has given you a vision. He gave you this vision so that you would become the person worthy of making it come to pass. Then comes the preparation. There will be obstacles on your journey, keep moving! The 3 things that will make you or break you are people, life and time.
4) To impact the community, you can do more with more. Money and Time or Time and Money. You need more of God’s provision to do what he has given you to do. Your business is a labor for the Lord. Proverbs says: see a man diligent in his business, he will stand before kings. Read the book of Proverbs and you will find it.
5) To impact the harvest; these are the last days and this time unlike any other in human history, more people are searching. We have so many churches it makes me wonder why things are so far off from the Word. I am not perfect by a long shot however a do strive to be the best human that I can be. This activity of being Christlike draws people to you. They wonder what is it that you have? This is where you let them know the Good News.
I have been on both sides of the fence, I find it easier on this side. I have no problem telling the world about my belief in Christ and I am not timid about it.
